Iain started in the money market at Standard Bank before joining stockbrokers Frankel Pollock in 1985 as a bond and options trader. In 1988 he moved to Joint Securities Discount House to trade bonds and eventually to open their derivatives department.

In 1990 Iain became joint MD of Interbank Discount House which was also part of SecHold Group, until 1992 when he left to start his own futures broking firm, Portfolio Investment Networks. He later dissolved the firm and in 1996 became one of the founders of the Peregrine Group where he was MD of the stockbroking division until 2001.

He joined Prescient Group as a Portfolio Manager and in 2003 set about creating a property competency for the group. He was instrumental in setting up Ngatana Property Investments which participated in the first BEE deal in the property sector when it acquired a stake in Spearhead Property Holdings, which was later taken over by JSE listed Redefine.

Georgina completed her articles with Price Waterhouse and eventually joined Norwich Life as an accountant before transferring to their investment team as a Client Liaison Officer.

She joined Prescient Investment Management in 2001 as an Investment Administrator and was subsequently appointed Accountant. She transferred to the Property Division in 2006 and is currently involved in HR Administration and Accounting for Percipient Group.

Claudine joined the Percipient team in December 2015 and is now Contracts Administrator. She manages communication between various stakeholders, and the operational process and document management relating to sales and construction contracts applicable to group development projects, as well as acting as PA to the MD.

Prior to joining Percipient, she worked as Office Administrator for the Estate Manager at Kelderhof Country Village, gaining considerable knowledge of construction processes, estate management and property development. She has over 20 years experience in Secretarial & Office Administration, having completed courses covering Secretarial work, Office Management, Public Relations and Business Psychology.

Pauline Devine

Portfolio Manager

Pauline has many years experience giving professional office support in a variety of different industries from manufacturing to fashion design. For 10 years she managed the Meals on Wheels Branch in Mowbray, together with a team of 25 volunteers, serving the City Bowl, Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs communities.

In 2007 she qualified as an Accounting Technician after completing computerised Accounting and Bookkeeping at the Central Business Management Centre, and completed the VIP Payroll Administration course with distinction. Pauline joined Percipient Property Management as Portfolio Manager in September 2015.

Remona joined Percipient in August 2017 to assist with the overflow of work in the property management side of the business. After a brief spell in administration, Remona completed her National Certificate in Banking whilst tutoring with an academy part-time.

She then moved full-time into Debt Counselling for four years before re-joining the academy as a full-time tutor in Accounting, Maths Literacy and Business Studies up to Matric. Remona relocated to the Cape in June 2017 where her desire to get back into the financial world saw her apply for the position at Percipient. Remona assists with the portfolio management, deals with members’ arrear accounts and assists with trustee meetings.

Mark has over 32 years’ experience in property and asset based finance. He started in asset based finance with First National Industrial Bank in 1985 and moved from there into property finance, first with Syfrets Trust in 1988 and later with Cape of Good Hope Bank in 1992.

At CoGHB he spent 3 years as head of the Long Term Property Finance Division, followed by Key Accounts and then Marketing Operations until July 2003.

Mark completed the Property Development Programme (GSB UCT) in 1994.

Bruce commenced articles with a small accounting firm before moving into commerce, gaining experience in all aspects of various businesses over a 30 year period. This allowed him to start his own consulting business in 2014. Bruce consulted for Percipient from February to June 2016 and again in November that year, before joining the team in February 2017 on a permanent basis.

Bruce’s key focus is on human capital, strategic planning and implementation, and industrial relations. He is also a qualified mediator.

Ginny Johnson Profile Picture

Ginny worked in credit risk management at various banks over a period of 34 years, including Citibank, UDC Bank, Standard Bank, Cape of Good Hope Bank and ultimately Nedbank Corporate Property Finance where she finished her career as Regional Senior Credit Manager : Risk.

Her experience covered credit analysis, and credit risk granting, management and monitoring across a wide range of products including residential, commercial and industrial property finance, asset based finance, joint venture equity investments, municipal loans and preference share investments. She completed the Property Development Course at GSB UCT in 1997.

She elected to take early retirement in July 2006 but since September 2007 she has been working part time on a consulting basis with Percipient Property Solutions where she looks after risk in the various portfolios owned or managed by the group, as well as the overall administration of the group bank accounts.

Samantha started her career as a receptionist 24 years ago and studied part time through Damelin to obtain a Diploma in Bookkeeping, Practical Accounting, Financial Management and Sales & Marketing.

Since then she has held several positions in finance, including 5 years as Financial Manager for a company in Gauteng. She also spent time as group Sales Manager before relocating to the Cape, where she joined Percipient in February 2017.

Lisa Haynes

Lisa started her career in the hospitality industry while studying part time to gain Bookkeeping and Pastel Diplomas. She then moved into the financial area as a Debtors Controller in 2007, before taking full responsibility for accounts in 2009 in an IT environment.

Lisa moved back into accounting as a specialist Senior Debtors Controller for 7 years at the African Dynamics Group, before relocating to the Cape and joining Percipient in April 2017.
